The "Big Lake" is about 60m below the surface and known as the biggest Lake downhole in Europe. The surface of the water is about 6.200m² and has a average depth of 1,20m. The deepest place is down a well by 12m.
During World War, this well has been permanently pumped dry. The lake is decreeding of seven springs, but no naturally drain. Therfore every night there must be 50-60 thousend litres pumped out, to keep the level of the lake.
